#LIVEKINDER

A small change, but a big impact for people, animals and the planet

3.6.2020

To protect animals and our planet we can all be kinder. Kinder in what we eat, what we wear and how we treat the world. Small actions, can have a big impact. Swapping your beef burger for a plant-based alternative, walking to work instead of driving, or even stopping buying fast fashion can all make a big impact. Collectively we have the power to protect animals and the planet, but we need to #LiveKinder now.

Whilst we all live through the fallout of COVID-19 we’re aware now more than ever the link between the way we treat animals and the planet and the emergence of global pandemics. Over 75% of pandemics have come from animals, including wildlife and farmed animals.

We need to change the way we live. We need to live kinder.

These changes do not need to be large to have the biggest impact. Even a few small steps can make a big difference. At FOUR PAWS UK we are working to protect wild, companion and farm animals and improve the planet. But, we cannot do it alone, we need your help too.

Still wondering why a change needs to happen? See below:

We want to:

  • Call on the UK government to secure a global commercial wildlife trade ban and end the import and export of wild animals into the UK
  • End the dog and cat meat trade in Southeast Asia
  • Outlaw ‘mega farms’ in the UK and commit to a 50% reduction in meat consumption nationwide
  • Highlight the importance of responsible pet ownership during lockdown
