In the meantime, celebrate our wins!

We ended the live export of farmed animals from Great Britain!
For years, we called for a ban on live exports of farmed animals for slaughter and fattening. And in 2024, we got it when the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Act was finally signed into law, ensuring that farmed animals from Great Britain no longer have to face gruelling journeys that cause extreme psychological and physical harm.

We convinced Nike to move away from live lamb cutting!
Nike is one of the world’s most famous sports brands so the materials they use make a huge difference to animal welfare. That’s why we called on them to stop using wool from sheep who have been subjected to live lamb cutting - a horrific process that involves cutting the skin on their buttocks and can leave lambs with open wounds that take weeks to heal. Nike listened! A huge win to protect lambs from this outdated practice.

We changed the law to protect puppies and kittens from dodgy dealers!
No animal should suffer to provide companionship for humans. That’s why we campaigned for ‘Lucy’s Law’, named after the cavalier King Charles spaniel, Lucy, who was kept in a cage in a Welsh puppy farm and forced to have too many puppies. The cruelty she experienced caused her untold pain and suffering and eventually led to her death in 2016. The law means that people now have to get a new puppy or kitten directly from a breeder or a rescue centre. Now we’re fighting to crack down on illegal puppy farming across Europe and working to disrupt illegal puppy smuggling into the UK, helping to protect more innocent animals from exploitation and cruelty.
