UNITED TO PROTECT MILLIONS

Global support to end the dog and cat meat trade. You can join us in our goal to #ProtectMillions

14.2.2020

In just over four months, over 520,000 people have pledged their support to help us end the dog and cat meat trade in Southeast Asia. As the numbers of dogs and cats owned in the UK hits 9.7 and 7 million respectively, it is no surprise that over 40,000 brits have signed up in a bid to end the killing of millions of dogs and cats across Southeast Asia.

All aspects of the trade, from catching and transporting to slaughtering, involves unacceptable levels of cruelty and suffering, making it one of the most pressing companion animal concerns of our times.

FOUR PAWS is calling for a ban of the dog and cat meat trade in Southeast Asia based on –

  • the extreme cruelty involved
  • its detrimental impact on rabies elimination
  • the reliance on illegal and often dangerous activities

We cannot make a change without your support. Together we can speak out against the trade and protect dogs and cats across Southeast Asia. If you haven’t signed the petition yet you can do so below and spread the word across social media using #ProtectMillions.
