Are You Ready to #WearitKind?

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new campaign, Wear it Kind

28.1.2020

This campaign embodies a host of different issues that affect animals who are used in textiles, and we will be focusing on some of these topics throughout the coming months. Find out more here.

We Need More Compassion in Fashion

Fashion is often focused on looking and feeling great, but this shouldn’t come at the expense of animals and the planet. By thinking more about the clothes we are buying, we can make more conscious decisions, such as choosing long-lasting, sustainable fashion, seeking products made from recycled materials or plant-based leathers and fabrics, or opting for pre-loved items where possible.

Millions of animals suffer every year in the textile industry. By thinking more about what we are wearing, we can support brands that are working to protect animals, we have the power to make a difference! You can take the pledge to #WearitKind here.

Help Us Ban the Sale of Fur in the UK

You may already be familiar with our calls for a #FurFreeBritain, where we are pushing for a complete ban on the sale of fur in the UK.

FOUR PAWS has worked to end the fur trade since the organisation was founded by Heli Dungler in 1988. The following year, the first charges were brought against a number of fur farms in Austria. A huge milestone for the UK came in 2000, when fur farms were banned. However, even today – fur is unfortunately widely sold throughout the country: including in shops such as House of Fraser.

Founder of FOUR PAWS Heli Dungler sadly passed away at the start of the month, and so in Heli’s memory, we have chosen fur as our first Wear it Kind topic. We are continuing to push for a completely #FurFreeBritain, and sending the message that fur is cruel and unnecessary, and as a nation we stand firmly against it.

The Future of Animal-Friendly Fashion Starts With You

We hope you will join us in working to protect animals in textiles, starting with helping us to secure a ban on the sale of fur in the UK. Let’s make animal protection a fashion priority by pledging to wear it kind!
