House of Horrors: Ditch Fur for Good!

Over 140 million animals are killed for their fur every year, the majority spend their lives confined to dirty cages on fur farms in China or Europe.

18.3.2020

Although fur farming was banned in the UK in 2002, we are still pushing for a complete ban on the sale of fur in the UK to achieve a #FurFreeBritain.

We recently talked about how over the past few months, there have been several cases of fur coming back to UK high street stores. This all began with House of Fraser going back on its decade long fur-free policy and selling real animal fur both in stores and online.

In response to this news - we took to the streets, along with several other animal protection organisations, to show that the UK public thinks fur is cruel and unnecessary, and House of Fraser have taken a huge step backwards by selling it again. Shortly after this, House of Fraser confirmed that they had swiftly removed all real fur items from stores, but they still have not reinstated their fur-free policy. This means they could bring fur back again at any time, so it’s imperative that we take a stand to ensure this trend does not continue!

Take Action to Demand House of Fraser Reinstate Their Fur-Free Policy!

We need your help to convince House of Fraser to get rid of fur, for good!

You can take action by emailing cs@houseoffraser.co.uk or contacting them via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and asking them to bring back their critical fur-free policy as soon as possible!

The more people who speak up, the more likely House of Fraser are to listen and take critical action that moves us one step closer to achieving a #FurFreeBritain.
